I just joined the St Marys Area Chamber of Commerce – Now What?

As a new chamber member, you are now part of almost 300 other diverse businesses and organizations working in and around St Marys to improve the economic well-being of the area and quality of life for local residents.

The chamber is committed to providing you with the best services and opportunities to help you grow your business and strengthen its leverage in the community.

Here’s a list of some things you can do to start maximizing your membership.


Verify your online directory listing

Every member of the Chamber has an online listing at www.stmarysohio.org.   Your online listing contains basic contact information for your business, and can include a  link to your company’s existing website, if provided. Please check your membership listing information.  If your listing is incorrect, or for assistance, contact us at 419-300-4611.


Get Involved and Grow Your Business through Your Membership

Our members find that the more time they invest in Chamber participation, the greater the benefits of membership to their business. We encourage you to:

  • Read your monthly Chambergram so you can stay informed on ways to promote your business and on what Chamber functions to attend.
  • Attend and Network at Ribbon Cuttings, Open Houses, After Hours, Wake-up St. Marys and other Chamber Events and Functions throughout the year.
  • Get signed up for any Committees of interest.
  • Schedule a meeting with our Executive Director Angie Tangeman to discuss your business and your role in the St Marys Area Chamber of Commerce.

 

Display Your Chamber Pride

As a member, you receive a membership window decal to notify patrons of your membership. According to a post-recession study by the Schapiro Group, consumers are 49% more likely to think favorably of small businesses that are chamber members and 80% more likely purchase goods and services from them.

We encourage you to display your chamber window decal prominently. Additionally, we are happy to provide you with a high-resolution jpeg of the chamber logo for use on your website.

Bring Us Your Marketing Materials

The chamber often receives visitors or phone calls from people searching for information on our members.  We are happy to share your marketing materials with them! Please drop off materials at the chamber office, 301 E Spring St.

It’s busy managing a business. Our monthly Chambergram e-mail newsletter and occasional additional weekly emails, will help you easily keep up-to-date on chamber, member, business, government, and community news.
