The St. Marys Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary partnership of business and professional people working together to build a healthy local economy and improve the quality of life in each of our communities. Simply stated, our local Chamber is dedicated to making St. Marys a better place to live and work for everyone. We invite you to become a member!

Chamber Publications such as the Community Profile Booklet, Local Street Maps, Buyers Guide & Member Directory, Industrial Directory, Clubs and Organizations Booklet, and Church Directory are available. We offer Professional Development Seminars and a Chamber Newsletter published monthly and mailed to more than 350 business leaders and elected officials. The Chamber offers Member Networking Events such as Business After Hours, site tours, golf outing, and breakfast and luncheon speakers. Retail events and campaigns like the Bunny Trail, Halloween Parade,  and Halloween Decorating Contest involve the community.  There are many ways to advertise through the Chamber including Media releases, radio programs, and television interviews promoting local events. What is the Benefit of Being a Chamber Member?

The St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce is your organization, helping to provide its members and the community with valuable information. The Chamber is a clearing house of information and research, a public relations facilitator, a legislative representative, and a promoter of our community. The Chamber also provides money and time saving benefits to those who have a membership in good standing.

Your Chamber: Provides community information – Chamber members are included in publications designed to promote members. Directories – Directories in the Chamber office provide not only a membership directory, but also various lists of members for different focuses, club and organizations, churches, and tourism. Member plaques – All members receive proof of membership with a plaque, a business card and a window date sticker. Public Relations – Our office is an information center for both members and the community. Referral Service – Chamber members are referred when a request for goods or services are received. Cooperative Efforts – Chamber cooperates with other local and area entities to make St. Marys the best place to live and work. Newsletters – Chamber members receive a newsletter with articles on local business, trends, needs and more. New members are given a special listing and all members are listed in the newsletter monthly. Business After Hours – Members are encouraged to host or sponsor a Business After Hours where members and invited guests can network and socialize. Health Insurance Savings – Through the Northern Ohio Alliance of Chambers of Commerce, two health care insurers and one dental care provider provide special rates for Chamber members. Workers Compensation Group Rating – Chamber members are eligible for a free quote on rate decreases in special Chamber groups. Copier Services – Members are invited to utilize the Bizhub in the Chamber office – free for black and white copies and a small charge for color copies. Bulk Mailing Services – Bulk-mailing services are available to members who use the Chamber’s bulk mailing permit – an automatic savings of the $150 price of the mailing permit. Cooperative Advertising – Members cooperate to utilize special pricing through the Chamber for advertising in various media. New Member Publicity – A picture and a small article on you and your business is published in the local newspaper for new members of the Chamber. Chamber Website – The Chamber’s website is new and modern with a “storefront” page for each member. Community and Chamber information, as well as a calendar of events, are also included on the page. Membership Meetings – Several times a year the Chamber gives members an opportunity to gather, socialize and network. The Annual Banquet is offered in the spring, as is a joint meeting with the Community Improvement Corporation. Special Events – From the golf outing to open houses, parades, ribbon cutting, and Christmas events – the Chamber offers members and the community a variety of special event. SummerFest – SummerFest annually provides the community with free quality entertainment, games, rides, great food and more – an opportunity for members to advertise their business and have a great weekend doing it. Women in Business - Women in Business is a networking group started by the St. Marys Chamber to bring women together to discuss important topics and to network in a luncheon format.  All women in Auglaize and Mercer Counties are invited to participate.  Bunny Trail - The Bunny Trail was added in the spring of 2009 to give the children of St. Marys an opportunity to have an activity just for them. It includes treats, movies, egg hunt and many prizes.   Strategic Planning – Annually, the board of trustees looks at the strengths and weaknesses of Chamber and makes a multi-year plan to provide extra value to members and to the community. Leadership Classes – The Chamber cooperates with other chambers to provide a leadership class that puts local and area businesspersons together once a month to network, look at one of eight topics that explore services in the county, and make contacts in all areas of the county. Central Location for Information – Information about the Chamber, the community and area tourist attractions are kept on hand in the office. Gift Certificate Program – Your gift certificate program gets some $20,000 out in the community to be spent in our Chamber member businesses. St. Marys Beautification Committee – One of a number of committees of the Chamber that were developed to assist the community to take pride in its self. Farmers Markets – Offers area produce growers, artists, crafters and performing artists an outlet for their wares. The community supports the Farmers Markets very well.
